Many genetic findings often leave out Latin American populations in their data, making it difficult to make such findings applicable for individuals of varying backgrounds. The LAGC strives to combat this issue by promoting the inclusion of the Latin American community in psychiatric research. Additionally, we encourage collaborative work by creating a network of similarly-minded scientists and providing a view into their research interests and goals. Simply put, these efforts make psychiatric findings applicable to all!
